Dear Friends,
Namaskaram!
Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950), was an Irish playwright, critic and political activist. His influence on Western theatre, culture and politics extended from the 1880s to his death and beyond. He wrote more than sixty plays, including major works such as Man and Superman (1902), Pygmalion (1913) and Saint Joan (1923). With a range incorporating both contemporary satire and historical allegory, Shaw became the leading dramatist of his generation, and in 1925 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. In this issue, we have given some of his quotable quotes.
The front page covers Osho’s story on Un-cluttering the mind which brings peace and happiness.
In happenings section, we have covered (i) Workshops on “Traditional Siddha Varma Bone Setting Practices” (ii) Varma Network members meeting along with Convocation ceremony (iii) Awareness programme on Harit Urja and (iv) Internship by a student etc.
In the Wisdom section, we delve into “The Rights of Mother Earth,” an inspiring framework that forms part of the Universal Declaration proposed by the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The profound connection between humanity and the planet is further enriched by the poetic words of Kahlil Gibran, author of the celebrated book The Prophet, who beautifully reflects on the “Gift of Earth.” Adding a unique cultural perspective, Mr. Felix Cárdenas, former Vice Minister of Bolivia, eloquently draws a parallel between marriage and our sacred relationship with Mother Earth, emphasizing mutual respect, care, and reciprocity.
