Bertrand Russell (1872–1970) was a British philosopher, logician, mathematician, and public intellectual. A founder of analytic philosophy and co-author of Principia Mathematica, he made major contributions to logic and the philosophy of mathematics. A noted advocate of peace, freedom of thought, and nuclear disarmament, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950. In this issue, we present a selection of his quotes.
