Dear Friends,

Namaskaram!

Ralph Waldo Emerson (May 25, 1803 – April 27, 1882), who went by his middle name Waldo, was an American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, and a poet. He was seen as a champion of individualism and a prescient critic of the countervailing pressures of society, and his ideology was disseminated through dozens of published essays and more than 1,500 public lectures across the United States. Emerson is also well known as a mentor and friend of Henry David Thoreau, a fellow transcendentalist. In this issue, we have given some of his quotable quotes.

This month, our front page covers the famous story - Don’t Spill the Wine.

In happenings section, we have covered (i) Training on Bio-methanation technology (ii) Commissioning of Bio-methanation plants (iii) New medicine preparation and (iv) Field visit etc.

In the wisdom section, Max Ehrmann, writer of a famous prose poem "Desiderata" precisely explains the difference between a scientist, a poet and a Rishi. Prof.O.P.Dwivedi, University of Guelph, Canada explains the concept of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam through the hymns of Atharva Veda and finally Shri.Sailendra Nath Ghosh explains the perils of consumerist civilisation.
